so. last night i went downtown to see dave and ben, and i really wasn't trying to go out. i did my little pseudo diva shit and told them i'd rather stay in, but they weren't buying it, so we went to the standard hotel roof and met up with adler and dicky deutch. ron jeremy was there and the guys from the pickup artist show. one of their disciples tried to holler at our homegirl, which was entertaining. it was someones bachelorette party so a bunch of ridiculous girls were wyling out. i had a couple dirty martinis and then went to room 315. dave got his foot stuck in the sheets of one of the beds and fell against the headboard cutting the bridge of his nose and leaving a welt on his forehead. he was alright though. we ordered a bunch of food, i had a ceasar salad and a swiss grilled cheese. we took weird pictures and then walked home to bens condo. i drank a ginger ale and slept on his floor, woke up, went to ihop, sat in front of the plaza at some downtown building, waited for moses to pick up dave and I and then went to rehearsal.

ex girlfriends are interesting. I've had a couple run ins recently and I don't necessarily know if its a species I like or dislike. since mine aren't fully formed, I guess I can't really make an accurate assessment, until that is...I have an actual existing ex situation. I'm also dabbling in internet relationships.

so anyway, we're heading to play this show in Oxnard tonight, it should be good.

I had a dream last night that I madeout with you know who. It was weird and we were in her car outside my parents house in seattle. I remember momentarily thinking I should ask her if she had boyfriend but I didn't.

Anyway I just woke up Dave is listening to indie rock in our kitchen and we're about to go to rehearsal. Yesterday we finished writing a new song which is like a mix between 08 LA Rock and like 80s synth pop. It might be my favorite song.

settling back here.

So. We've been back in LA for about a week now, had a really fun show at the Derby friday. Everybody came out and kicked it with us, we hadn't played in like a month and we got to jam some of the new material off this upcoming EP. Hollywood feels like summer, I'm eating hashbrowns and gonna walk around with Dave and his mom. This week we'll be writing more and getting things organized business wise for the EP. We might be headed back in the studio for a couple more finishing touches and songs in a few weeks, but we're still planning everything for an April release. The girl to the right is Soko, you should google her, shes good at singing and writing songs.

20 hours in the van

so, we're now in the bay area. yesterday we took an odyssey through northern california. there was snow and a ridiculous stoner who helped us put chains on our van and a jam session outside in the freezing weather. i'll update more and post some video later.
